I have no idea when it started but now the navigation directions are annoyingly choppy… also it seems that it just became progressively worse… I get something like “take exit 7A then turn r ight” . I have SYNC 3.4.23188 and, hoping that it will fix this issue, I just installed the latest navigation maps 2.23 …it didn’t resolve the issue. Anyone else had/has this problem? the radio, the vocal commands work just fine, Bluetooth works fine, keys are not super responsive but not extremely laggy… I also looked at APIM settings for the first time and, to my surprise, it doesn’t look like it matches the truck entirely; I.e. Engine type - diesel, transmission- manual…

The majority of issues such as this are caused by devices and 3rd party apps paired to the system. A few years back there was a phone app called MLB At Bat that customers installed on their phones and it caused the navigation system to lock up 30-40 minutes into any trip.

I’d start by doing a Master Reset and re-evaluating with no phones/devices paired or connected.

I thought about this but I guess my test was half way… I did cut off the Bluetooth on my phone while Navigation was acting up and it continued to act up with the phone disconnected… I thought that ruled the phone out but I will dig deeper into this; It could be related with the V1 cellphone app… After few cellphone OS updates (I assume some app updates as well) the app warnings are now coming through the audio system instead of cellphone speakers. Thanks for the pointer!

Removed the phone from Sync , started clean, did 20 miles round trip today and the navigation system worked perfectly. Not even one stutter. Going to work my way back syncing my phone and see how to get the max out of my phone and the Sync system.
