Question for those with Nav system. Is the screen dimable? I hate to have distractions and I run with my dash lights really low and I want to be able to dim the screen so it doesn't bug me. So, ........dimable?

Thanks, E.

The screen is disable but not by itself. It lowers the dash lights as well. But there is a display button on the bottom right of the middle row of physical buttons that you can press once to make the screen black except radio information and press again to turn the display off.

Sweet, thank-you. Just spoke with Randy too and found that I should be able to do what I want in the dimming department. I'm going to add Nav to this order. Thanks again, E.

There is a button that says DISP. push it twice and it shuts the screen off completely. Its nice for long dark roads, especially since your radio and nav still work

As already stated, I'll go along with everyone and say both the screen itself is able to be brightened and dimmed independently from the other interior lights. Not much, but it ABSOLUTELY makes a difference. With my eye surgery, I also run the lights damn near off and the screen is plenty dark for me.
Yes, there is a setting to dim the screen.
Correct.

What? My Navigator bitch is named Natalie. I bet Susan sounds sexier, because I haven't heard anything from my chick since she left the lot!

Nav brightness hasn't bothered me a bit and I have the same concern. I've always run my Nav screens at the lowest possible setting at night. And love the fact that I can turn the screen completely OFF (including the LCD backlight....as in totally OFF) with the DISP button.
