My Raptor got broken into

I think this is the best idea....just researched it and it looks like the way to go. Just curious as to where you had the device inside the cab installed. I have a 2018 and would rather have it in an inconspicuous place rather than in an unsightly open area.

Dumb questions:

How does the Jimmy Jammer work?

Do you just install the perimeter security addition to existing Raptor Security system to make it plus or do you have to replace the security system?

It looks like my wife’s 2014 Explorer Sport has the same lock system. Why haven’t they had the same issue—or have they?

Tascaparts is where I ordered the perimeter plus, however I’m not sure if I’ll place the red flasher on there. Also, I wasn’t aware of the available bracket, so I’ll get that too....thanks for that link.

Man this sucks. My wife's car was attempted to be broken into a couple of weeks ago as well. They didn't get in since the lock has a plate that doesn't allow them to break in. All here in the Houston area. On the west side of Houston I have heard of at least 15 people having their trucks or cars broken into. Getting ridiculous, time to start knocking off a few of these people doing it.

Yep, live in Katy and work in the Galleria, and it's been happening in both areas of town.

The annoying thing is it would be very easy to set up a sting and catch a few people, make an example out of them, and maybe it would slow them down some. All they need to do is park a newer F-150 at one of these hotels off the freeway, leave something valuable in plain sight, maybe an iPhone or something. Or even better put a Glock sticker on the back window. Have a couple cops in an unmarked car watch it. I'm willing to bet money it doesn't take 2 nights before someone tries to break into it.

The problem with that is it ruins your interior.

CS or pepper spray now... that would be rather funny.
