I went through a similar experience at 45k but under Ford warranty. It was a hassle at the time, but glad I was persistent. New long block, turbos, the works (as Ford rep said “new engine”).  I am at 121k now and it’s been a great truck. Figure I simply extended the trucks engine life by 45k.
