MPG instrument question

Yesterday I changed the oil, and when I crank the truck up the instrument cluster that shows my average MPG went to 0.0 and I drove it last night it slowly worked its way back up, why would this happen? Also when I crank it up the 4x2 sign showed up thn disappeared as well.

Not 100 percent sure but if you had the dealer do it they probably reset your mpg counter. With the 4x2 clueless.

Not sure on the mpg, but my 4x2 light does that every time I start it. I have a 2014 if that makes any difference.

I changed mine a while back and it didn't do that.
