I'm looking to add an exhaust cut-out of some sort - I'd like it loud while in the dunes but would like to be able to close it off and be quiet and comfortable for the long haul on the road...

Just wondering what people's experiences are with electronic cut outs and are any of them particularly better than others with regards to durability for a truck that's not a street queen?

Salty roads is absolutely not a concern, mud isn't very common, but sand dust and water is...

I think the gate style cut out seem to fare better than the butterfly valve styles. Might be a good place to start.

With that said, I don't believe anyone has had a whole lot of success with cutouts in general, off road.
