Back up camera on 2012 Gen 1 started randomly started shutting off or showing a reversed image a year or so ago. I basically blew it off, nice to have but not a show stopper although I sure needed it backing up a 1 lane trail on the side of a cliff…. Fast forward, lead frame failed on the freeway (147000 miles), downshifted to 5th, no speedometer, odometer, huge orange wrench on dash etc. Replaced lead frame myself with a new electrical feed thru, pump block etc. Transmission works flawless and back up camera now works perfect! Interesting observation; ever happen to any of you?
BTW, I used a used an old Holley high pressure fuel pump I had laying around with a 110-12 volt converter to fill the trans after the lead frame was replaced. It took a total of 10 minutes to add 9.5 quarts. NOT A PRiUS!
