Moab

Back in Moab, I know Vegas John is missing me, but I had to get back to "work" traveling the trails in Moab. It's a tough life, but someone has to do it.

Entered Arches National Park from the north and did the Tower Arch trail, then went south on the "sand trail" and then exited the park to the west. Could have done it in the Raptor, but there would have been some scraping, so did it in the Jeep. Never touched a single paved road in the park.

Warmed up a little today so we took the RZR and did Steel Bender Loop. As you can imagine, it is not called Steel Bender for nothing. A fun challenging trail, that I would NOT recommend you take a Raptor on. But if you want to, let me know so I can come and watch. Passed 8 Jeeps, two of which were broken down. Also did a couple of spurs we hadn't done before.

Still the "old" RZR. Supply chain, don't know when I might get the new one. It might be this spring or in the fall.

For the last day of winter we took the RZR and did "behind" the "behind the rocks trail", which goes to a couple of overlooks of the Kane Creek trail. Then we did in "front of the rocks" from "behind the rocks trail" which overlooks the Moab valley. Also saw a neat little arch.

Used the Raptor to tow the RZR 30 miles north and did the Book Cliffs Trail. You can do it in a Raptor, and we have, but I wanted to go fast and be open air.

Took the Jeep up to our favorite overlooks. I could tell you where they are, but I would have to kill you. Not a Raptor friendly trail, although if someone wants to try it, let me know so I can watch.

Used the Raptor to tow the RZR up to Mineral Bottom Road. Then took the RZR down to the Green River and then 6 miles up Hell Roaring Canyon. It was a challenge in some places and we stopped because it would be more work than gain going further. Great scenery and some fun rock crawling.
