79.5 inches tall stock, 80 inches opening in garage. Hmmmm, the Raptor may have to sleep in the barn if I go to middle perch.

Went to the middle perch on mine. Happy with it. No noticable ride difference. Nose dive during hard braking is defintely less. I saw a top perch first hand and must say I liked it. The rear of the truck sitting a little lower than the front didn't look all that bad.

I am really happy with the middle perch, less bottoming out in the rough, handles better, looks cooler, etc, etc...

I don't recommend the top perch without an aftermarket UCA though. I have seen some with the stock, and that ball joint looks really tweaked.

Ditto, it feels the same as before and love the ride and look of the middle. If you are thinking of doing it, i would push you and tell you to do it ASAP. Some say its where Fox ideally designed the springs to sit, but Ford due to the DOT had to sell it on the lower setting.

Not true. The shocks are designed to work at the factory setting... If they were designed to work at the middle level they would have released them at that level...
I have had mine set at the middle for almost 2 years now and love it!!!

They are designed for middle. FORD had to lower them for safety regulations. The front bumper is only allowed to be so high off the ground to pass. Why else would they have a perch adjustment? its too much of a one time adjustment to be for personal preference tuning.

I'm on the middle perch and it seems to me this is where this truck was meant to be. Ride is dam near the same , cornering a little better less body role.
Now I took out my torsion bar out of play and it negates any impact of the middle perch or you could say Middle perch helps when no torsion bar connected.
Good test is go over speed bumps at a angle before and after the torsion bar is taken out of play and you won't fricking beleaive the difference.

No, they were not developed for the middle and had to change to the lower setting... You dont just design things like that and then find out that you have to change... What a waste of development money... Ford was that stupid many years ago but not anymore... You think they all of a sudden thought oh no we designed this to the middle position and now we have to change it??? Its a characteristic of the fox shock that Ford said we are not going to spend the extra money to have that adjustment removed from the shock... You dont just say to a supplier hey we dont need the adjustment on the shock please remove it... They will remove it but at a cost...
