Hey All. This is another Raptor security post which I know is like beating a dead horse but I can’t seem to find any discussion on these, especially the M9000, through my searching.
I’m looking at adding extra security to my Raptor and one of the installers I spoke to mentioned a few items that I’m wondering if anyone in the forum has experience with.
I’ve locked down on the Compustar T13 system and there’s an E-Lock kill switch option to disable the push to start if the alarm is armed. The installer was concerned about installation on the push button kill switch since it’s a newer model year. Anyone had this installed? Any issues with it?
If the Compustar kill switch didn’t work then they recommended installing a Mastergard M9000 (https://www.mastergard.com/all-products) immobilizer. They used to do Igla but switched to this based on their experience and lack of customer/vendor support by Igla but the Mastergard is a newer product so I can’t find much info on it.
Does anyone here have experience with this system?
Any issues with either system (or similar) and Ford warranty items?
Any insight is appreciated.
