Still lost with your reasoning and was hoping to have a decent technical discussion about pros and cons of various engine configurations. That is hard with someone so driven by emotion.I wasn’t aware of any aircraft. Which ones? Are they turbocharged? In aircraft, there are different requirements (packaging, heat dissipation), so a flat engine actually makes sense in many of them. A car is not an airplane. I used to fly a private plane with a flat 4, but it definitely was not a Subaru engine. Not willing to risk my life like that! I got mad respect for those vett’s. If I didn’t live somewhere with so much snow and already have summertime only toys, I’d definitely own one.I have had two Subaru’s try to race me in the last month or so and one was a freaking FORESTER with a wing! This has got to stop.
