Hello all,
I am trying to find my old Raptor I sold 3 years ago. Ever since I sold it I have regretted it. It was a gift I got from my late grand father right before he passed away. For foolish reasons I sold it and have wished I hadn't for these past three years. It was a 2011 supercab. Orange with the OG decals on it. It had 58K on it when it left me. The VIN is 1FTEX1R65BFD03841. It was sold by Long MacArthur and on the tailgate, the dealer logo was taken off and repainted over and you can tell the paint on that spot isn't original. I traded it off to Jay Wolfe Toyota in Kansas City Missouri, then I believe they sold it off at auction. If there is any way I can get back into contact with whoever currently owns it, I would love to buy it back for sentimental purposes.

Run a car fax on the vin and see where it is being serviced regularly. In addition to posting on FRF check the other F150 sites. (You have probably done that already.)

If you have an idea what region of the country it’s in, start looking for clubs on Instagram, Facebook, etc.

I had a similar experience several years ago, and was able to track down my old 03 Cobra. New owner was nice, but wouldn’t sell it back to me.

Good luck, hope you find it.

My Gen 1 was sold to a guy who works not far from me and I get nostalgic every time I see it. I'm just glad that he seems to take very good care of it.

I have the opposite problem. I have been trying to contact the previous two owners to see what I can find out about its past.

I even found who they were but they didn’t get back to me. I’d probably be pissed if I had to give it up too.

That’s kind of crappy. When I found the guy that had my Cobra, even though he wouldn’t sell, I gave him the full run down on the car and even sent him a copy of the original window sticker. (Original stayed with me as part of my collection.)

Seems crappy not to spend 5 min giving you a run down.

People, their the worst. :)

I agree. What can you do though - except fix all the shit they apparently didn’t ;)

and pass it on if that terrible day comes.
