Well....I posted a few months ago that my Livernois tune was flawless for a year, but started to knock a little in 3rd gear WOT pulls. I dont due WOT pulls that often, but I know knock when I hear it. I think I got some bad gas, but decided to go back to stock.

Just have not got around to putting the tune back on 6 months later because I just dont HOON the truck enough to miss the tune.

Good luck OP.

lots of spot on advice here.
Yeah, sorry you're having such problems. That said, it sounds like you may have been running it a bit too hard.

How many oil changes have you done? What oil did you use?

Have you done any towing with it?

How about running at WOT for long periods of time?

What fuel are you running in it?

Were you getting any knock retard in the timing numbers? What's that? You have no idea because you never bother to monitor engine vitals, even when tuned?

Like I said, sorry you're having issues, but from what you're listed so far, that isn't a bad tune, its a bad operator or loose nut on the steering wheel/gas pedal.

Go ahead and post up your Livernois tune file so people with a clue can review it for details.

I would like to chime in on this one. Many members on here use our software and know how well it works. We never ever push out any calibrations that would cause any sort of engine or turbo damage. In this situation this particular customer ordered a Mycalibrator from us and registered this tuner in the state of Texas and requested performance calibrations for 91-93 octane which we then sent. However and this is where he is trying to put the blame on us, he never not once stated that this truck is actually his dads and is not even in the United States this is over seas where they use RON gas rating. If we would have known that and was stated anywhere in the tune request form we would have reached out immediately before any calibrations were sent out. I am the rep that was handling this and I have a string of over 30 messages back and forth where he is trying to get us to pay for his engine over the neglect of telling us the proper information. We are all about helping anyone that we can if we are in the wrong however this was not a calibration issue.

stock, only has a JLT Catch Can. Just in case it makes a difference, this
truck is run almost always at around 9000+ feet above sea level and the
fuel octane is 92 where I live. Also, my transmission is a bit aggressive
on the gear changes in sport. If there is a way that you guys can wipe the
memory of the trans through the tune it would be awesome as I'm afraid the
tune could make it even more aggressive. Really excited to try your
product! I've heard great things and came here due to SXSBlog. Please let
me know if you need anything else, the strategy code displayed in the
MyCalibrator device was the same as the SW ID #, hopefully that isn't
wrong. Thanks in advance for the great tune!
