Between my last F150 and current Raptor I've been seriously considering line-xing my whole exterior. I was thinking of wrapping it but I've picked up some good trail rash after the last run and I understand that would show through a wrap. Plus I really like the idea of not having to care at all about scratches.

I've been quoted $2500-$3000 from a local shop that has done several of these jobs. They say they can do pretty much any color I want.

I plan on keeping the truck for at least 5 years and maybe longer so I'm not really worried about resale value.

Here are some picks that have made me more and more comfortable with the idea. I would probably have the bumpers and flares done in black to have some contrast.

My vote is No.

It looks different but not something I would ever do to my 50k++ toy.

I voted, it's 50/50 now. Not saying how I voted just that you have a huge set. I don't know if I could have my Raptor Line-X'd. I think it's different/unique. Go for it!

Do they have any idea what the body armour is gonna run? I know it's suppose to be lighter but still have a ruggedness to it.

I would assume about that since the info I have says the bed is about 40. I'm not sure at this point but the truck is already 6400 lbs and another 100 or two isn't a big deal. Granted I'd rather be cutting weight than adding.

I like it. As long as you do the fenders and bumpers black I think you would not be disappointed. Plus I know what your talking about the trail rash.

125 lbs is the same as if you had a girl passenger. IMO not a dealbreaker. Go for it, especially if resale is not an issue

That's the plan.

I was surprised to see how much I picked up on the lost coast run. I didn't really get any on the prerun. I think a lot of it had to do with the speed we were going.

On that note I just used some mothers scratch remover and the buffing ball they sell which attaches to any standard drill. It really made a positive difference on the rash. The two doors I did still show the scratches but they are a lot less noticeable.

Maybe I'll just abuse the stock paint job for a bit longer than line x it. I would much rather put this money towards a set of Icon's.
