Hey Y'all,

The wife and I took a nice ride out to the Trona Pinnacles on SB Sunday instead of watching the game. I was intending on coming in from the South and doing the 20 miles thru the dirt on RM143, but damn if @John M and his don't go out unless you have the kitchen sink with you didn't way on me :D:). Regardless, we got a late start anyway and we went in from the north off of hwy 178. It was a beautiful day for a picnic lunch w/o wind and noise. We hit the fish rock place on the way home.

LGB!

OUTSTANDING!! What a great day. Those Pinnacles are so cool.
Thank You for sharing your adventure.
Don’t worry about your kit, you don’t need it until you do :pepper::Big Laugh:
No need to be as paranoid as me lol
I’ve had a life of being Over-prepared, carrying redundant systems and “Just in case” shxt…lol
I can’t get my day pack under 10 MFing pounds?? I carry a fire starter, TWO-headlamps, emergency blanket and other stuff I should never need on a day-hike..
It’s a mental illness :banghead::chair:

Love the trip thanks again for sharing

It's all good! I completely understand the idea and practice of self reliance / rescue. I've spent many years night diving for lobster, you do dive with a buddy, but just the same ocean. We're getting there with our gear setup. Thank you for that list BTW.

LOL I carry one light and two fire starters. But it probably should be two and two as I've used a light quite a bit and have only built one fire out. Gee, thanks for making my pack heavier. :)
