Lifted 2018 with 22’s

Thanks for the info guys! I won't be doing any SERIOUS off roading but the lift kit seems to not be worth it at all, especially since they are sticking at 62k right now, plus sounds like it cannot be removed without major fabrications. Without knowing anything about lifted raptors i thought maybe it was a good deal with the bumpers. Plus it has those stupid 22'' rims which would have come off ASAP.

2017-2018 Ford Raptor 4" Suspension System. This new lift system for the Raptor is based on the popular BDS 4" system for the standard F150s. Many of the components from the standard F150 kit carryover like the ductile cast iron steering knuckles, laser cut/CNC formed, fully welded crossmembers and differential brackets, etc.

We determined in testing that the 4" lift height allows for the best use of the full range of suspension travel allotted by the factory suspension components. These factory components include the high-end Fox Racing Shox at all 4 corners of the vehicle. These internal bypass coilovers (front) and shocks (rear) are what really make a Raptor the truck it is.

By properly relocating these coilovers and shocks, we are able to maintain that amazing performance that makes the Raptor a true offroad machine. The front coilovers are relocated with a heavy-duty spacer at the frame mount while the rear shocks are relocated at the axle with bolt-on brackets.

Other Raptor specific items included in the kit are front brake line relocation brackets that maintain adequate brake line slack for the massive amount of wheel travel available. Raptor specific front skid plate relocation is also included to maintain the signature Raptor front aluminum skid plate and have it blend cleanly into the BDS front crossmember.

Out back, in addition to the rear shock relocation brackets, is a 5" block and u-bolt kit. The 5" block replaces the factory block to net a level stance and includes a bump stop wing for proper bump stop engagement offroad.

A 5” block now? Their whole advertisement is a bunch of bull.

Yeah plus everything is relocated skid plate, brake lines, U bolts are different, supposedly built in bump wing plate. Definitely run from that thing and don't look back.

had them give me quote on trade in for the M5, offered 35. I can sell in private market for someone looking for fully built M5 60-55k. The manager was telling me how i will never get my money back on modifications i have done (which i fully understand, they price it as a normal M5). However, on the flip side they were trying to mark this truck up because of the bumpers and lift, i turned their words back on them and they didn't know how to respond when i said come down on price. funny when they talk themselves into a corner and don't know how to get out of it.

From my understanding its better to add more leaf springs in the rear, correct? Does that also remove the block all together?

yes, buying a Deaver or Icon rear leaf setup removes the block all together.

I seriously don't know why you want a lifted Raptor though..

I don't want a lifted raptor, it was the bumpers color year and mileage that attracted me to it. Was curious about the lift, and now i know don't mess with it. Which i am perfectly fine with.

Also learning more about lifts on raptors, this thread has been very helpful.

If i get a new one at most i would do leveling kit.

My previous comment on coming down on price was when i was at the dealer last night before i started this thread.

if you sell your M5 privately, there are 3 gen 2s in the for sale section from 52 to 59k all in FL.
