Leak? ford tech advice requested please

I was being a girl and swapped out my skid plates (thanks Wicked!!!).




and I noticed what appears to be a leak. Or possibly road/engine grime? In any case, what is this line and is it a problem? Thanks for any input.

Hmm I know it shouldn't be but it looks like grease from cv. When my boot fked up that's the type of greasy look that was splattered everywhere . But no idea why it's under the skid

I checked both CVs and all the areas around this line and it seems to confined to this line.

I tend to wipe everything down after oil changes before putting the skid back on. Could be...

Pretty sure that line is power steering. G/f's truck had a leak in the exact same spot from a bad hose crimp. Brought it to dealer and it was repaired under warranty.

It's the power steering hose. Dealer had to order a new one. To be replaced on Wednesday.
