Short distance has always sucked, meaning you practically have to be near it with direct line of sight, pretty much useless. Thats why I upgraded it. But my issue is where it completely stopped working. It only has happened once though and I didn't mess with opening up the fob and moving the battery, it just has worked ever since.......until next time.

A the risk of having you guys think I'm crazy, I'd like to tell everyone that mine did it again when I parked at the same McDonald's. That makes 3 times there, and no other location. Then after leaving there it has worked once I arrived at my next destination without doing anything to the battery. Maybe I will try it again tomorrow? Gives me a good excuse to drive my truck and to get an ice coffee!

the chin thing works. i don't know why, but it does.
You're using your head as an antenna....a little zap through the noggin. My dad taught me that trick with the remote start on my 93 Cavalier.

Yeah buddy, I'm so fancy that I had a remote start and electric door locks on a car with hand crank windows. :Wizhuh:

This has happened to me many times, not only with the raptor but with my tundra. It happens at certain places, mostly Ralph's and shopping s
Center parking lots. I think there is interference with the key fob signal, I think there is some sort of signal coming from the locations. Wether it be a wifi signal or some sort of radio signal, after all these key fobs work on the MHz band range. I essence there is a jamming signal.
