Key fob question- unprogramming and reprogramming to different truck

I bought one of the 18+ keyfobs for my 17 and programmed it. Now I’m trading in my 17 for a 19 and would like to keep that fob as a 3rd key. Is there a way to disassociate it with my 17 and then reprogram it to my 19 as a 3rd key or is it a one time use for one truck only deal?

I believe only the truck recognizes the key (and not the other way around), like a garage door opener. Erase the key in the 2017 and program it in the 2019 and you should be good to go.

Pulling from memory here, but I believe there is a menu screen that shows active keys.

Hopefully I can just go into my key on the dash screen of my 17 and remove it then it will be free to be added to the new truck. Thanks for the feedback
