Just want to lower the rear on my 2014

I want to lower the rear on my 2014 raptor super crew to make it easier to load my motorcycles - what's the smartest way to lower it the most? Camburg type drop shackle?

If the rear can sit lower than the front, that's awesome, I like that look anyway. My front perch is set at stock height.

I don't do any high speed off roading, primarily use my truck as a daily driver, for trips to the snow a few times a month, and for transporting my motos on the weekends. 3x 250cc motos is the most weight I ever have in the rear, which is roughly 750# total.

RPG has a shackle kit, it drops the rear about an inch

Shackles will be your best bet. Don't take the lift block out as it sets your pinion angle. Since you're a Gen1 you can get a shorter one from Readylift I believe, but a shackle will work better IMO

If 1" isn't enough give RPG or Camburg a call, they do custom fabrication too.

My raptor is a 2014, and I would like to drop the rear as much as possible ie. end up with the rear lower than the front.

Get the 1.5" rear block from Readylift or ProComp. Both are cast iron and set the pinion angle. I've been running the ProComp block for 35K miles and love it. Big difference between the block and a lowering shackle is the loss of compression travel before the bump stop engages when going with shackles. I know there are a few older threads with plenty more info!

I've messed with the rear height a lot. I've had the ready lift blocks, lowering shackles at 1", 1.5", and 2" drop. All in all, don't drop the rear of your truck more than 1". It'll start riding like shit. Especially when you start having the rear lower than the front, ride goes out the window.

My suggestion, put the front up to mid perch and lower the rear 1" with a shackle.
