Just got a ruby red 2014 which was my dream truck

Hey everyone. After a year of search I finally found the truck of my dreams.
Love this bad boy sooo much.

It's a 2014 ruby red with all the mods that I was looking for.
I picked it up from Utah and drove all the way to California.
Unfortunately the truck runs long tube headers and a Magnaflow muffler which I can't pass emissions test here in California.

I think I'm gonna have to get stock cat and muffler to make it work.

Let's get this truck registered first and pass SMOG

It's an absolute ***** to get done here. I just went through the same thing the other week with my Gen 2 since I bought it in NC and registered here. I have stock cats but my tune caused some problems for me.

Have you already tried seeing if it'll pass smog before you go part hunting? I was surprised how non-invasive the process was now (been a few years since I've done it).

Honestly I haven't even tried since everyone told me it won't pass SMOG.
And the truck is soooo loud I can't even start it up at night. The whole neighborhood will wake up.
I need to get the CAT for sure. Just not sure if I can use a Cat back muffler or not. I love this engine and like to have some added growl for sure

Thanks a lot man. I got it from your location actually. St. George.
Beautiful place. I drove all the way from Zion to Sedona and back to California. Did a ton of offroading.
I had an FJ before this on 33s and King shocks and OMG, this is a completely different game.
