I had the fuse go on the main supply wire to my Skar amp in the truck. I checked everything and found nothing wrong. Replaced the fuse, figured I would immediately check everything closely after I put power to it, make sure nothing was heating up. By the time I walked around to the rear of the cab, smoke was pouring out and the amp was on fire! It looked like a small welding arc with some flame inside the amp case. Didn't make me shit my pants at all! Thankfully it was contained inside the case and I have the amp mounted on an aluminum plate. I'm really surprised it didn't pop the 60 amp fuse a second time. I still have that smell stuck in my nose a few hours later. I'm glad I keep it in the garage so I can let it opened up overnight, to let it air out.
