Jeeps and Raptors

Hey All, I've been a member here for a little while now while researching the raptor but finally placed an order for a 2012 Tux Black CC with nav, moonroof, tailgate step and box graphics! got it through team beefcake, hopefully have it july/august. I'm coming from another 4x4 but built as a very different breed. This had been my rock crawling and offroad rig for the past few years, love it to death, and built it all myself. Its going to take a backseat now that the raptor is coming in, but i'm not getting rid of it. Hoping to use the raptor to tow this beast on some rock crawling trips in the future. been a member of a lot of jeep forums and met lifelong friends I cant wait to spend some time on this one and hopefully have the same experience

Welcome! From a 20 year veteran at building 4x4's I can say you will love what Ford did to make this truck.
You'll quickly learn its a foot wider than the Jeep, but if that doesn't bother you then you will have a great time on the trails.
Drive it for a while off-road, then try dropping the front sway bar like several of us have. It's like driving a different truck.

Welcome. I too have had jeeps. A 90 wrangler and a 78, liked them a lot. Did a lot of hill climbs in pa. Live in the flat land now. Love the raptor and I am sure you will too. Should make a nice tow vehicle. Jack

I am also an avid Jeeper and have fallen in love with the Raptor. I Am trying to decide if I still need a Jeep because the Raptors are so much fun.
