iPad in dash

Installed my iPad mini retina into my dash and synced it over bluetooth. It's a float mount kit I had done and is totally removable. I lock it in center console to charge over night, so I dont have to worry about it being stolen. Maps and Siri all work over bluetooth audio, so gps is all turn by turn still and mutes the music. It is suede behind it and I'll put up some more pics tomorrow of it, but here she is!

Beverage was included to help motivation, no driving was done. Here's the stock dash before removing it.



And magic...



The kit uses the same magnets that apple uses in smart cover to hold it into place. It's easily removable and plan on making a little youtube video demo soon.

That's neat how it prevents you from using the features that you paid for when you bought the truck.

The factory radio is mounted behind it and all the steering wheel controls work. I have AM/FM radio, sirius, and the bluetooth screen above with all the sync features. Everything plays through the speakers. To each their own.

Who listens to CDs anymore anyways..

He does custom ones and is a really cool guy. I luckily got one he custom built. Dunno if he's doing more.

It's all integrated, the iPad controls the radio and you control the iPad, through voice or steering wheel controls. Here is a video of an iPad3 in a f-150:
