Wow we have some internet warriors, crawl back into your safe spaces, all because I said I found something loose on a new truck. Listen here snow flakes and trust fund bunnies. This truck has been my goal for the past two years and $80,000 is more money than I have ever had to play with in my life and frankly its obscene that it costs this much. Not only that the headache of finding one is like a hemroid its a pain in the ass. So yeah I'm going to want it to be right. And im going to scrutinize it. Built Ford tough lets hope it is. Now run along and play some more call of duty or Grand theft auto because your bed time is in half an hour.

Haha. Seriously right. There's more than enough problems with everything else on this truck, now the interior pieces flying off. I'm really hoping I'm one of the trouble free trucks. Will find out in a few weeks

Sounds like maybe you are buying something that may be a bad financial decision for you. It's a VERY expensive truck. But it's still a truck.

Best to just ignore the bulls__t on this forum. There are some helpful people here and some good threads. Enjoy your truck and ignore the jerks. No need to feed their fires.

PS. Other car forums that I'm on are virtually 100% friendly and helpful. Hopefully over time this one will be too.

I say this as a guy who likes Fords, it's a Ford.

There may be some things "off" here or there, or no issues what so ever.
Every brand may have a handful of cars that aren't perfect rolling off the factory line.
I wouldn't sweat small things like that, or just go over the one you eventually like enough to buy with a fine comb and see if the dealer will fix any issues as part of a deal?

Trigger warning alert.
Instead of suggesting a Bentley or a choo choo train. Why don't some of you monogloids give comparison fit and finish qualities of other pick ups. Lets face it the chances of even some of you guys having real world experience in a Bentley or a locomotive is when you were 7 years old under the Christmas tree and it was 1/50 scale.
Interior quality comparison of Silverado, Denali, Titan, Tundra, Ram. That would be helpful.

<disclaimer> I have been branded a “Euro-skeptic” here on FRF due to my intense dislike for : BMW for their shit antilock brakes that damn near killed me and my wife on Susten Pass, and Ducati for their lack of attention to drivability and reliability</disclaimer>

The Rap is a Truck. It’s built by Ford. It’s built, tested, QA’d, retested, independently tested and released to market with a particular set of manufacturer driven values and characteristics. In the Army, you are a soldier FIRST, and your MOS is secondary. With Ford, the Raptor is a truck first, performance vehicle second, and can be optioned to the level of a lesser apportioned Lariat or XLT with all options. Ford puts a lot of testing into what the truck will do, and how it will do it. If they say it will do x, they tested with x+ some not known to the public factor.

There is plastic on the interior of the Raptor, probably a lot in common with the super duty. Great! that makes parts ubiquitous. If I scuff up the plastic door panels enough to offend me, I can replace them. If find I want something different, there are lot of other vehicles on the road with the same basic layout.

Could I have gotten a more luxurious vehicle with say... an AMG Merc? Sure.
Would I have liked it as much? I don’t honestly know. What I do know is the Rap serves my particular set of specific needs very well. It isn’t perfect, and I don’t really care. But I do rather like her and my bmw driving neighbor is positively green with envy. Yeah... I confess, I rather like that part.

The other manufacturers have a different focus than does Ford. This focus is not necessary better or worse, it’s different. I checked out a buddy’s Titan, and have to admit it had some good features that someone obviously put some thought into. Ford trucks are a bit utilitarian. Their focus and claim to fame is work.

The focus of the Rap is to haul your @$$ and your $hit quickly, smoothly and efficiently terrain be damned, while not spilling your starbucks.

It’s been said that Raptor is more than a truck, it’s a lifestyle.
I’ll say it’s more than a lifestyle, it’s an attitude.
:flipthebird: the Toyota Prius and all it stands for.

Can I get an Amen?

What are monogloids? They sound bad for your heart.

When you start talking about trigger warnings and monogloids......

It makes me think that you may be happier with an electric vehicle. Maybe a pink colored one perhaps???
