So comming from a Ford FX4 SCREW to a Raptor SCREW, what is the insurance likley to cost me. It was about $800 a year. I am sure its gonna go up due to replacement cost. What are you paying and who are you using?

Lol I would jump on $800 a year.
Best deal I got was $135/month with a perfect driving record and alarm system.
But that's Canada for ya - they're good at bending you over for the mandatory crap.
(Don't let the 'free health care' thing get ya, my 46% tax bracket more than pays for my once-every-three-years- trip to the hospital)

My insurance guy chose to list my truck as a regular F-150. I asked him if that would ever be a problem for me. He said no, he'd make sure I'm always fully covered, but that it should help keep my rate lower. He's a family friend so I trust him, but there are a lotta things I don't know about insurance. Anybody else have a scenario like mine??

Well thats what I was hoping to hear. I will start out by saying F-150 XLT which is what my build sheet says. Then the value. Heck, King, HD and Platinum cost more!

when i had my GSXR1000 with a perfect record"safe driver" :~) everybody wanted $1500 a year... i finally found Tri City insurance, and they cut me the best deal $1250 a year, and we got that rate by going with a $1000 Deduct...twice the normal rate...

playing with your deductable may help you save a few hundred.....

Unless you like to tear shit up LOL then that don't work so good...

I have auto insurance through USAA and i pay around 80 bucks a month. I got ride of a 08 honda crv, and my insurance went up only about 10 dollars more a month with a 500 dollar deductible.

That's probably fine. My insurance carrier seemed to treat it the same way. I got the impression that, so far as the insurance company is concerned, "Raptor" is just a trim level--no different than XLT or Lariat.

Mine went up a bit from my 2004 GMC (not surprising), but not intolerably. Progressive had no idea what it was. I gave them the VIN, their system didn't know what it was. Had to answer year/make/model questions, as well as things like "is it 4wd", "what kind of cab does it have?"
