A while back I posted a thread asking if a shock boot would be a better solution than that ****** piece of plastic that comes on the rears shocks. Today I took a trip up to Kartek in Corona to see what would be the best solution. Aiiracing mentioned maybe going with a Dirtbagz coilwrap, so I looked at that first, and determined it would be to baggy and it just wouldn't fit right The smallest wrap they make is for a 2.5 C/O and as you all know, we don't have a coil on the rear so that idea was shot.

Long story short, I ended up going with a 12inch 2.5 blue rubber shock boot. Put them on when I got home and they fit great. the blue matches the shocks and I'm convinced this will be a much better solution than those POS stock plastic guards that break after one good day of playing in the dirt.

I will post pics as soon as I can. For some reason photobucket wont let me upload anything right now.

You can save them to your computer and then write a new post (not in Quick Reply box) or Advanced Edit your original post...

Before you click submit scroll down and look for a button that says Add Attachment.... Click that then select your file, then click submit. Boom.

Looks alright - once I break mine, I'll probably do that too. But I'll have SS clamps top and bottom though to keep crap out.

put clamps on the top already, just took pics before I did it. I'm going to leave the bottom unclamped. There is no real good place to do it. that's why I went with 12 inch vs 10 inch. They should just stay in place as long as the top is secure.
