In Production Status Requires a VIN?

I have a dealer telling me that they have a Raptor in production but they don't have a VIN #. VIN describes the model and options, color etc in code, correct?

All the options on 35’s, iconic silver. Ordered 11/02/21, built 04/16/22 and shipped days after. To arrive 05/11/22. Others guys who ordered at the same time aren’t even in production.

If it in production you should have received a email from Ford telling you your build date. It would have the vin on that email and a link to the Ford order tracker website. Once logged in……there is a link to your window sticker and you should be able to see it.
My window sticker showed up about a week before the truck was built.

They claim to have a VIN but the window sticker hasn't popped up on research maniacs yet.

That's possible. Get the VIN and check the status with Ford Performance.

Well I went ahead and ordered from another dealer and Ford confirmed my order via email the next day. Not sure if that means anything at all as far as an allocation is concerned? The order process isn't exactly the same as it was when I ordered my '17.
