Guys -

Hate to say it, but I'm out. I traded in my Raptor 3k below the price I bought it for about one year and 19000 miles ago. I'm waiting on the factory delivery of my F250 Tremor with the 7.3L V8. You might see me again for the Gen3, until then, I'll be at fordtremor.com - great community over there too! Thanks for the support and great community over here! The two forums almost feel like brothers and folks in both are top quality human beings!

Paying less than 15 cents a mile to get into a brand new truck was just not something I could turn down. The market is crazy right now and I took advantage of it.

Goodbye and good riddance, lol, just kidding, practicing for when 911crazy sells his raptor. Hope to see you back again one day. Maybe post a pic of that beast when you get it anyway.

Wait, @911 Crazy is getting a Raptor? I thought he was a hired posting-machine to keep this forum afloat with about ~100.000 question posts...

I am curious on the math here. How did you determine you will be paying less 15 cents a miles for the Tremor?

Sorry I should clarify that... What I meant was that in the Raptor, I paid little over 15 cents a mile when very selfishly just comparing purchase price and trade-in price and how many miles I drove it. No way I'll pay 15 cents a mile in the raptor or tremor. At end of day, i got it for 69k (74k msrp) and traded it in for 66.5k. To me, that was worth getting into something for a few years until Gen3 is out and proven.

ok, got it!
Yeah to be super fair, this is a very self-benefiting calculation, since it doesn't take into account taxes, title, registration, fees et cetera... so in reality i drove the raptor close to 20k miles for maybe like close to 30 cents a mile. But either way, my point was: I drove this beast for a year at a very low cost and am now getting a brand new out-of-factory badass ford truck and I think the current market environment is nuts. I mean come on. 66.5k on a used Raptor? When you can have new 2020 ones for less?
