so i had my shop weld me a 3” x pipe in place of stock muffler (like 2EF from AWE), it was way too loud.
Put the stock muffler back on, it was quite like stock.. haha
So i called Magnaflow since they have D-fit muffler kit in production but it is not out yet (July-August 19 ETA). So i asked Magnaflow if i can just buy the muffler and weld one on myself, he said to get 12468 (3”dual in dual out, 18” Magnaflow x pipe muffler), and today I installed it on the truck.
Still has stock resonator, just a tad louder than stock. Definitely noticeable difference from the stock, but really not much of difference.
So thank me later and just order that muffler from Magnaflow (i ordered from Amazon warehouse deal for $52 shipped overnight). Paid my local mandrel bend shop $180 (he used 3” S-S piping to match the Magnaflow, if you are in MD, i can recommend the shop in Glen Burnie).
Super happy with the result, my iphone really cant get good videos, but i can assure you its no where near attack or s type from Borla, or Corsa, its quite, but still a little more louder, which what I was trying to achieve (also the whole thing installed only set you $250 TOP).
Note: stock suitcase muffler is actually a true straight thru 2.75” with LOTS of baffles.
