Any wire rope and chain lube is great, it's designed not be nondrying, nontacky film.

I use this one, works great for the northeast winter salt and brine.

Can anyone recommend something to eliminate squeak that doesn't attract more grit?

It is the metal on metal of the leaves without pads . Drove me crazy on my 18 with the Icons. I am wanting to go back with the Icons on my 20, I may try to add friction pads on the leaves without them.

How do you go about adding friction pads?

I crumbled today and ordered RPG extended shackles to lower her down a bit... Turns out my 4’11” wife can’t reach my Leer hatch now to close it [emoji849]

No squeaking here. Right after installing it I sprayed them really good with Fluid Film (just like rest of all suspension and frame on my truck). Its sticky, oily and dirty job but it works wonders when it comes to protecting the truck from all chemicals and salt they use here in winter time.

We use Fluid Film on wing spar and fuselage fixtures on spray planes and at the annual inspections the areas under the film is still perfect. I considered putting it on my Icons when I installed them but got lazy

Does it attract sand or grit? I am leary of putting grease or oil on leafs because of just attracting grit.
