I don't necessarily agree that "most" people are paying msrp or lower. Some yes. Many no. At least for this first batch. I'm in south Florida and have relationships with many many dealers, personally. I've seen the orders first hand and markups all around. I got lucky at 3k over. Could've bought in Upstate NY at 1k under but he wasn't certain he was getting any of the 2 allocated and hisnrep told him with me at #2 not to expect it until next summer. I paid what I had to if I wanted it in a timely manner, notwithstanding the BS with all the delays from Dearborn. The group we have here on the forum represents a small percentage of total owners.

Maybe ordering today would be better than the first wave but I assure you south Florida is not at Msrp even now.

I am paying $500 under MSRP which still ****** me off. But I guess I can't complain. Had to search all over the western US to get that deal.

I am kinda leaning to this also. your just not afraid to admit it. retards on these pages like to act all cool behind the computer screen but took it straight in the ass in person.
I cant pay over MSRP I feel abused its already a pretty highly priced truck but I can go that far as I like it that much. My dealer is getting 17 he said 10 are sold. he also said he will buy any right now at MSRP so I think hes getting way over MSRP. you prob got a fair deal at 3K over they could of sold it for more I bet.
I just wish people wouldn't pay these prices so the dealers wouldn't charge them. but its the America way and I would do it if I could also.

I have not seen inside a raptor yet but inside the platinum is super nice and its equipped nice with usefull stuff. seeing it actually was the reason I asked for new raptor. if raptor looks and has same junk inside its well worth the 70K

I called five or six dealers in the Knoxville Tn and Chattanooga TN area started at 5K then was able to get down to MSRP finally. I do not make enough to not spend a couple hours on the phone for 5K

I wouldn't buy any Ford product (in reference to the Platinum Explorer above) with the first gen 3.5L EcoBoost, that engine is hugely problematic if you read any of the car maintenance tracker sites like Car Complaints or True Delta. Even 2016 model F-150s and Explorers have issues. Hopefully this second gen 3.5 is better.

I have never ever paid even msrp on any vehicle. I did on our Gen 1 and was well worth it. Got back literally about 99% of my investment total. I don't hold the same hope for resale on the Gen 2 especially since it's new and will be around a few years, and a possible v8 in a year or two. Dealers down here are 5k over minimum. MINIMUM. Sawgrass ford is 10k over. Basically I bothered the dealer I ended up buying at until he agreed. Lol. I was # 3 allocation and that was his deal with me. #2 I needed to pay the $5k. Also agreed to waive any dealer fees. In the end it looks like 1,2 or 3 we will all get around same time, unknowingly.

The 3k I agreed to pay I knew was pissing away but it was that or the Hard Rock Casino. Chose the sure thing. BUT, I've since been to hard rock many times (live close) and lost that and more. Lol. My bad! Lol
