I’m back with transmission issues!!

2018 Gen 2 raptor: So today randomly after going out I was shifting from 2nd to 1st and it took a solid 3-4 seconds and lurched me forward. It was not normal. From then on if I gave it a little gas in any gear (I was in automatic mode) and let off, there would be a bump and what felt like a grinding. Fast forward 10 minutes later after careful and extremely slow driving, I pull over to get gas and upon restarting the truck the issue was gone. Any suggestions? Is this worth a trip to the dealer?

88,000 or so miles on the chassis and transmission, around 1500 on the motor by the way.

Were you in 4 high or auto? Normal or sport mode? Has the transmission ever been serviced? Any trouble codes? Have you tested your IWEs?

Yes I was in 2H, normal mode. Transmission hasn’t been serviced since I bought it back in August. No IWE testing to my knowledge. No problem codes either. Battery is struggling to remain charged though, not sure if it’s related. Sometimes will take 3-4 tries to start it

I’ve only put about 2000 miles on it since I bought it due to it being serviced for the majority of the time I’ve owned it

I would address that battery/starting issue first. Low voltage can cause all sorts of issues.

^ This. Definitely best to get the battery or charging system taken care of before you drive it much.
