Hey guys and gals, I thought I would share that for a few weeks now I noticed a “musty” smell coming out of vents when I first started up the truck. The truck only has 13k miles and I thought this was unusual, so I tried spraying Lysol in the vents at the bottom of the windshield and running the AC full blast for a bit with the windows down. It seemed to work, but a couple days later the odor was back. Had to have an oil change and asked the dealer to check it out and they acted like there was nothing going on just forgot to check. Any way, I finally did a thorough cleaning of the interior and pulled out the passenger mats and realized there was water on the bottom of it. Then further inspection led me to discover that the carpet was very wet. Shined a light under the glove box and seen something had definitely been leaking. So the truck is in the shop now as we speak. They told me that Ford approved them to replace all the carpet in the truck and obviously fix the leak and hopefully get rid of the mold that was in the carpet. I was curious if anyone else had this issue before.

I’m hoping they clean out the vents as well. Don’t want nasty mold blowing all over the truck.
