How to paint A arms?

I was looking thru threads and saw a pic of tux black with painted A arms in black..

Does anyone know how this was done? would the paint hold up if I just spray paint it? or do I some how need to sand it?

Powder coat would probably be your best option.

How big of a job is it to take the A arms off? couple of bolts?

i would just clean them up really good and use some grease and wax remove. then use a good epoxy spray paint and when ever they start looking bad you can just repaint.

You could get the Icon A frame skid plates? They're Black.
