I've been searching the forum and internet for a good motorcycle ramp to take my bike to track days. I found two that seem to be the best (Black Widow and the Big Boy) but not sure what size ramp to get. A few sites have ramp caculators that tell me I need a 10 foot ramp (the calculators act. say 10.5 foot) so wondering if I should just go to a 12 foot ramp. I will make it easier to load but harder to carry in the truck as they only fold to 6 feet.

Anyone have experience with either the Black Widow or Big Boy ramps and if so what length ramp are you using on your Raptor?

P.S. I have a stock 2013 Raptor

Thanks!

Never had the balls to load my bike up that high. I converted my sea-doo trailer to carry my bike, works great and its still small.

I would think the longer the ramp the better. That way its less steep. I'm to scared to load a motorcycle in the back of my truck, i bought a trailer.

I have 2 X 10' folding steel ramps that I use to haul my dirtbike and quads with. I bought them at home depot. If you're trying to load a street bike you'll need a buddy or two to help push it up ramps to a raptor, dirt bikes are easy though by yourself.

I load my ducati 996 in the back of my raptor all the time. I use a set of 3 ramps, two narrow 10 foot ramps and one wide one that is 10 foot by 2 feet. I ride the bike up the ramp then walk it down. with the tailgate extender it fits in perfect.

riding a bike up a ramp is never a good idea. all it takes is for your back tire to catch one of the grips on the ramp and your ramp will slide out from under you. i have seen it happen in the past, thats why i always push the bike up. also because of the weight of the person on it, like in the video above, the center of the bike is lower causing this exact scenario
