Or you can throw a ton into those investment accounts and drive something cool! When you spend a ton of time in the truck, the quality of life benefit outweighs the slight cost.

I'll skip the vacations and smile going to the gym most mornings at 5am instead of hating myself for driving a Crosstrek.

I'm 24 but I bought an overpriced F150 I'm slowly turning into my own frankentruck.

70k for a truck ain't a slight cost.

when you are older you will get that.

Fair point but work allowance and my love for the thing makes it worth it. I don't spend nearly what friends who live in cities do on housing and nights out.

Different strokes for different folks.

I’m in the same boat there. No real vices other than spending money on things I probably don’t need and can live without, but don’t really want to. I live in a small town in California where the cost of living is a fraction of big cities all while I get paid more to do a job here than I would in said bigger cities. So higher pay, lower cost of living makes it easy enough to afford the truck without sacrificing anything else.

Also I’m 33 but wasn’t in a rush to get life started so good for you that you can enjoy the truck and make payments on it in your 20s. I drooled over raptors in my 20s but it wasn’t ever gonna happen then.

29 and too young to be spending on a Raptor when I should be saving more for a house and an engagement ring. I've resisted the urge to get a GT350 as well so I'll call that a win?

All you spoiled kids these days with your access to Raptors. Back in the day we had to build our own trail machines. 30 years ago, at 26, I was ruining a perfectly good sea foam green 69' Land Cruiser FJ40. Did a frame up resto and dropped a 302 in it. Had lots of fun on the Rubicon trying to kill it and ran it down to Cabo and back. Lots of memories in that great old rig.
