You right somehow but not 100%. The slow rebound causes the tire to brake traction but same time will give the comfort. That means the best rebound setting is to be fastest possible (to have more ground contact) with some comfort. Need to find a ballance You give up comfort for better traction or reverse. I don't have any of that. The car is shaking badly and no traction. And i keep my opinion about the compression is too hard, that's why the whole care is jumping up on a bump. With the soft compression i should not feel the single street bump.It's not the compression, it's the slow rebound that's causes the tires to break traction.
Probably set like that from the factory so you can tow a little. Faster rebound would be great for small bump compliance and washboards but then again you couldn't load the bed or tow.
