I have 2018 Scab that I rarely haul anything in. I just noticed that there is a hole on the inside of the tailgate. It's just off center to the left (driver's side) and high on the gate. It's about the size of the end of your little finger or just a little smaller than a dime. Should there be a plug there? Why is it there in the first place? To adjust the back up camera? Anyone have an idea?

Pretty sure it's for the bed extender based on your description. I think mine just had a hole also.

When the tailgate is down and bed extender is installed, the bed extender has a locking rod that goes in that hole you are referring too. That secures the bed extender into the rear tailgate when in use.

Just saw the hole as well and was asked by the Rhino lining guys what it was therefore. Guess now I know.
I think I'll put a rubber plug in it.

The hole is there for the bed extender to secure to. No plug.
