My name is Nick and I'm from Los Angeles (South Bay). I've always liked the Raptor, but thought I could modify my Rubicon to give me similar performance. After coilovers, 37s, re-gear, RIPP, etc ... I'm still left a little wanting. The Rubicon is definitely very capable, but there's just something about the Raptor that is appealing. Anyway ... trying to find a good deal at some local dealers, but it's definitely as hard as everyone says. So if you got any recommendations, I'm all ears!

Look into buy out of state and drive it back here. Unless you're ok paying at least $10K over sticker

I live in socal also and I bought mine in New Mexico at Power ford. PM me for my guys name but we paid 4k over sticker and they were great to work with. I found a transporter that does that driving route a lot and he was $520. It was a great experience and we are extremely happy.

My research into a new 2017 Raptor resulted in finding a dealer in California that would actually sell at MSRP, however they have no more allocations. They might get some later, but no guarantees. Information might be useful for someone still looking or perhaps wanting to order a future 2018 and not have to be exorbitant prices from dealers. Contact Jerry Miller at Penske Ford in La Mesa.

Anyway, I'm a now a new proud owner of a 2014 Gen 1 Raptor!

Previous owner installed Geiser Bros progressive rate springs and a lifting shackle in the rear.

Drove it 50 miles home and it's a great truck! Compared to my Jeep it's definitely wider, but has more power and comfort. Family loves the extra space. Truck was very well maintained and I hope to do it justice!
