OK, So I recently bought a 2011 CPO Raptor. Just wanted something that was fun to drive, looks good, and could pull the boat and motorcycle trailer.
I have this slight addiction to things with motors, so this purchase ended up being more than I had originally planned. ( just a truck to pull the trailer )
Anyway, first order of business. It needs to sound like a truck. So I had a flow master 70 series, I think installed. Tips are tucked up out of the way. Not in a "Crush" zone. Sounds better, not overly loud. No drone that I'm aware of.
Second option was slightly bigger wheels and tires. I went with Ballistic Jester's 20" with Toyo MT 37.5 X 13.5 tires. Talk about looking before you leap....Anyway, to make things fit.
I am now on the top mount up front, with some trimming of metal too. 35's may have been a wiser choice, but I really like the look of the 37's.
I plan on getting UCA's and probably getting fenders too.
Now you see my problem. For a truck that was supposed to just pull the trailers....to a truck that is seriously munching on the wallet.
Still, love the truck. More mods to come.
Thanks Rob
