Yeah, the owners manual doesn't do a good job of describing what you need to look for.
If I remember correctly, you're not turning a screw - you're using the screwdriver to rotate a gear. It's been a while since I did it, but if you peek your head in there you should see the edge of a small gear, inside a hole, that you can turn by the edge with the screwdriver.

I'm gonig to be doing this tonight. After the stage 4 install, my high beams are now lighting up the tops of trees!!

Yeah, the gears are on the backside of the headlamp so if you insert the screwdriver and lean it forward (towards the lens) you will catch them better. It takes a bunch of turns to move them a few inches.

i actually pulled the headlites out. lift the hood 2 bolts hold in the headlite housing. pull the housing straight out. the vertical adjuster is on the back side you can use a socket and adjust that way faster. i tried the phillips screwdriver just did not work in my case. jack.

yep. headlight out was the easiest method for me. lefty-loosey to make it go down. Takes a lot of turns as someone else said...
Yeah, problem is you cant aim them when they are out, hence the top adjustment. they should have just put the socket compatible part on top.

Agreed. I was using my garage wall with marks to help aim. I'd have to put the fixture back in place to see how much it moved, pull it back out, make moe adjustments, rinse/repeat. Not too painful overall.
I bet you've done this just a couple times....
