Technically speaking the sound shouldn't be much different, especially when used with high flow converters. An upgrade to long tube headers will require a tune, so no need to worry about the 02's, the tuners will take care of that. They will need adjusted either way!

Probably a dumb question but, why would you take out the cats? Do you think there is enough performance gain to justify removing them, just to have them put back on later?

sound wise, it didn't change anything on my 2011 5.0 with or without the SW headers.
the SW cats flow very well
