I just painted my bumper and skid plate yesterday. I dont go off road, and I think the look is much better now.

I did mine also. Told the dealership that I wanted the skid plate done. He did just the skid plate. Had to go back to do the front bumper part.

I have my Skid plate done in Armagaurd as well as the front, rear bumpers and the Fender Flares too. Also had grill and tailgate Appliqué painted to match truck for the all black look. I do off road to some extent at work every day and sometimes have to drive in 40 Ton Rock Truck ruts which will drag the skid plate...4 months now no wear yet

Delco . . .
linex will work great and look nice as long as you dont use truck for off road use. As soon as that skid gets into the rocks/jumping impact all of the linex will shed off and show through.

I just gouged the hell out of my skid plate this weekend. If I had line-x on it, it'd be ruined now.

Don't have the GEN2 skid plate but my skid plate does have line-x. I would recommend paint and something you could rattle can for touch ups in the future and still look decent. When off-roading with the metal bending, line-x just peels off.

Would highly recommend against and paint it instead.
