We had a nice day here today and I washed my Raptor by hand in the driveway. The car washes are all closed in my community due to the Covid-19 crisis, so I had little choice if I wanted a clean truck. I've had quite a few cars and trucks but none that drip water in so many places after a wash. I never noticed this problem before - probably because the car wash blowers get most of the water out of the crannies and there aren't so many places that drip afterward. It's not a major problem, just an observation. It does keep you going back and re-wiping many spots though.

Folks on here won’t believe that you washed your truck without providing pics. Nice that you got intimate with your truck. A good number on here will hand wash. I only use spray booth car wash in the winter but otherwise it’s done on my driveway.

I use the leaf blower attachment from my shop vac to dry the truck and then waffle weave MF towel to finish. I do the glass first and then the body panels.

Same thing in my town in AZ car washes shutdown, i hand washed both trucks Saturday. I cheated a bit , last week i ordered a CR spotless water filtration system and chemical guys foam cannon. I washed both trucks in direct sunlight at 430 pm 85 degrees out. rinsed both down with the DI water filter and they both air dried with zero spots I was really impressed. Especially black in direct sunlight. total wash time was half hour and i was done with both trucks

That sounds interesting. I know I have to wash the truck and have new inventory of ceramics, but not looking forward to the effort for the ~90 minutes of time it will be clean until it’s again caked in pollen.

Would you be willing to share a little more info on the water filtration?

I just bought this baby. Dries the truck off unbelievably fast. And it should with the force of 180mph!

Many years ago I used to use a similar blower, until I learned it could potentially scratch the paint. As the return air is drawn in, there is a risk of small particles of debris that can easily be sucked up and blown on our cars paint. I bought this one (on my second brand), that has a filter to catch any debris and avoid it from being thrusted onto the paint at 180 mph! I change it regularly and can tell you there is always some type of debris captured in the filter. A couple of times it picked up very find sand like particles.
