I just finished installing a new set of shocks as well as a new set of progressive spring.  My clearance with old shocks and old progressive springs on mid perch was 25 1/2 ,the clearance now is 26 3/4".  So the old shocks/springs settled 1 1/4".  Another thing is only the bottom 2 coil touch were as the old springs had 3 coils touching.
