Got the call....order on hold

Received the formal call that my order on a loaded 17 ordered back in July is on hold due to carbon fiber and beadlock wheels.

Don't want to part with those options.

Any information out there on how long that could put order on hold? This forum is loaded with guys with the latest inside info.

Our last 2 allocations both have the bead lock wheels and one has the CF ordered on them.

According to my Ford rep as of Tuesday they don't have any date information on either item She did say it could delay they a while yet but at this point the orders are not in jeopardy of getting cancelled before build out.

You guys keep holding out for what you want. That will move my order up the line faster since I didn't order CF or the beadlocks. Lol

At what point do they switch from model year 2017 to 2018?

This is a tough question. Typically, I would go 2018 if delivery won't be till sometime in the summer months at which time I would expect some sort of a discount off MSRP which is the unique issue with this vehicle. So typically no discount or maybe LESS ADM. But either case if you're paying MSRP and the dealer has promised you an MSRP deal and they won't discount, for a late 2016 delivery, then I would re-order for a 2018 model when those specs are released. That's what i would do at least.

Patience my friend. This forum will drive you crazy and will make you want your truck now. Don't sacrifice options just to get the truck a 2-3 months earlier. If you plan on keeping it for most of the life of the truck, then just wait. just my 2 cents!
