Im debating on taking the week before the time attack off and do some wheeling with the OffRoadHAM guys. Funding may decide this...

I was just informed by my Wife Unit that another member's Wife Unit (Beth M) contacted her and begged us to go. I love it when the Wives approve of these trips before I can even ask!!

I have a few questions:

1). Do we need our own helmets, or are we able to share with some other drivers who aren't currently out on the track? Money is tight so I'd prefer not to buy two new helmets. *Does anyone have a couple extras that we could borrow?*

2). Does anyone plan on doing more trail running over Saturday/Sunday rather than being at the track all day?

3). Can a stock truck handle this track? I've seen the carnage from Havoc in the Hills and I cannot afford another mishap like we had during the SnoBall this year...

4). Along those same lines, can a stock truck get airborne at the Dunes without damage?!! Mike's pics from last weekend's trip are awesome!

A stock truck handle all GLRE events.

I would be on midperch but yes a stock truck can do it.

Is there race gas at the track? How far is the nearest gas station from the track? Ionia?

If they do you probably wont like the price... Most tracks that sell race fuel are higher then what you can get elsewhere.

Edit: Looks like there is a gas station 5 miles from the track.

Copy High price for race fuel at the track. There is a Shell in Ionia that has 93 as of a few years ago.

Carl - The majority of the trucks in the pictures from last week were stock suspension, you can have plenty fun in stock form at Silver Lake.

Im sure we can rustle up a spare helmet for ya, and if your not on mid perch already bump it up

Race fuel? what are you looking for, I have ms109 and c16 for my bike and car if you need either I could bring a couple 5 gallon pals.
Anything else I have a vp guy in grand rapids that could put an order in.

Dont use race fuel from the pump its probably gonna be leaded that shit gets all over the chambers and valves and kills o2 sensors.
