Noah's Level 2B system with the JL sub upgrade is absolutely phenomenal! Crystal clear with booming base as loud as you can stand - At TRRR it had the peeps coming from all over to check it out. I could not be more pleased with this setup and I am finding that I now like a lot of songs that I had been previously indifferent about. Strong work Noah!

Good to hear John. How is the low volume sound?
What sub did you go with?

Obviously you pounded your truck, and Busa claims this is an off-road ready package. Any hickups from the audio install?

Yukon Joe
GREAT LAKES RAPTOR EXCURSIONS

John and I both went with 2 10" JL Audio TW3 woofers. They sound phenomenal. Low or loud. They're in a sealed box and the quality is there; bass is super tight for kick drums and bass guitar. And they do a good job at getting loud and low, which is surprising for a 10" sub...and they definitely don't sound like shallow mounts either.

Edit: I'd also like to add that this installation is pretty theft proof as well. The box is bolted down to the rear seat. All amps/processors are mounted behind the rear seats, all speakers are behind the factory grilles. Not only is this setup off-road worthy, but it's also relatively anti-theft. I mean given enough time, any thief can steal it, but it's not a matter of cutting wires and picking up the box out of the truck.

here, on frf
i will let him answer that question about offroad readiness.

as far as the low volume sound, as long as you use the master volume from the cleansweep (or whatever sound processor you chose) you retain the eq calibrations that were set during initial tuning. if you chose not to use the processors volume knob, and use the oem radio volume, you do lose a little bit on the lower volume quality.

This system held up very well to off-road pounding. Everything intact, locked down tight, no rattles, and the sound is crazy amazing. In fact I think it sounds even a little bit sweeter now that I know it can take a beating! :waytogo:

Pics of Noah's Level 2B upgrade. Concert quality sound I fall in love with every time I get in my truck!

A separate master control for each amp - one for the 4 JL speakers, and one for the JL subs.

When cranking it, you feel the music as well as hear it. With the right song, the subs feel like they are punching you in the small of your back! :rockit:

I wish they're was a way we can hide all our electronics though in our Scabs. There has to be a way to put the amps and sound processors on our back wall. Especially the money spent on these installs, I'd be scared to throw something in the back seat like clothes or trash (I don't liter) temporarily and have to worry about hot amps/electronics. .

FYI- Noah is awesome ppl! Great sounding trucks at TRRR, must say!
