Yeah the F12 would be irritating AF putting around town behind Nissan rogues and what not. I bet there were some fun late nights on an open road though!!!!
After quite a lot of Colorado and western US miles under my belt using NA engines. When I got my first turbo vehicle (2nd gen raptor) I was blown away how it performs, nearly the same as sea level.
I after about a week, it was relegated to long distance drives from LA to SD and even then, it was annoying at times. It was great for passing but it was about it. The power is either FULL on or lugging. When I sold it and got an AMG GT, it was a lot better. Far more usable around down and for long drives.
When I test drove the R, it was a similar experience, First couple of relights was fun but then it was just lugging around. When I drove the 3.5 (mind you, I just came from a 2023 6.7 tremor) I found it a joy to drive. Fast, nimble and the power was exactly where I wanted it and needed it. Just as I remembered with my 2018 and 2019 Raptors.
Maybe my personal preference but anything about generally 500HP is just a waste around town. Unless it's a purpose built race car, anything over 500 is a very annoying.
